Disability Pride Month

Disability Pride Month In-Person

July is Disability Pride Month.  This month is set aside to commemorate the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) and to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with various disabilities.

Books and eBooks relating to physical, sensory, cognitive, psychiatric disabilities and neurodiversity are now on display on the main display board, first floor of the library.  Come by and learn what the different colors on the disability pride flag mean and peruse the books about and by amazing people who have face disabilities every day and don't let it stop them from becoming all they were meant to be.  Bring your COM ID with you so you can check one of these great books out and take it home with you.
